We bring here some facts and news about sustainable and organic-method farming which you can use to improve your farming practices and bottom line. The point of farming today is to not accept what is taken as agricultural "conventional wisdom", but instead to look beyond what makes large corporate suppliers money and see what is best for the land and the people who get their food from it.
While the advances we have made in row-crop farming are widely ballyhooed as "feeding the world", we have to look at naturally-based methods which are capable of not just feeding our planet from existing fields and lands, but to see how Mother Nature at her best would actually act to restore these lands to bountiful production.
Some examples, such as Holistic Management's promotion of High Densitly Managed Grazing (Mob Grazing), can return land to production not seen in centuries. However, it takes close study of the natural systems at work. And how humankind can work within these organizations to repair and restore the abundance which is possible if we actually just become partners with Nature instead of taking bits and pieces from it.
You will see here support for naturally-based surfactants such as Shaklee's Basic H. The anecdotal evidence and few university studies routinely point to the use of such solutions to improve existing soil structure while you make other changes to crop choice and management techniques so that you can restore native tilth such that the land itself is sufficiently permeable that such soil conditioners are no longer needed. Meanwhile, it is our duty to use only materials which are naturally derived and effective. Using chemcial formulations which are toxic to humans and animals wouldn't be logical. Yet it is common-place where these are used.
It's hoped with our work here, that new light can be shed on natural practices. Their adoption in this new age can bring our Planet Earth back into ecological balance with a high quality of living for all her inhabitants.
